When playing on a Hell Let Loose server as a squad leader , in each game you’re playing you should always aim to build at least two garrisons .
To help you achieve that , here is a step by step guide on how to build garrison in Hel Let Loose :
It costs 50 supplies to build a garrison in friendly blue territory and 100 supplies to construct a garrison in the enemy red zone .
Supplies are easily found on the map by the gray box with the black x inside and have a usable range or radius of 50 meters , if you get close enough or hover the mouse over the symbol on the map you can actually see how many supplies remain in that supply drop .
Unlike artillery , garrisons can only be placed 200 meters apart from each other , so in order for you to have a quick idea one grid on the map is 200 by 200 meters .
If you want to see if you’re far enough away from the other garrison just put a quick ping or a marker on that garrison to see how far you are already away .
Now that you’ve got the necessary supplies it’s time for you to place a garrison in Hell Let Loose. All you have to do is to find a perfect spot away from your enemies to make it harder to be found .
How To Destroy Enemy Garrisons In Hell Let Loose
A large proportion of the elite HLL players will tell you that one of the best ways to win over your Enemies in Hell Let Loose is by eliminating their Garrisons .
Destroying your enemies garrison once you’ve located it is pretty easy , all you have to do is stand approximate to it and hold the f tab .
The location of guarsions can be easily anticipated , here are some tips on how to find your enemy’s garrison in HLL :
What you want to do is study the capture point on your map and put yourself in the enemy’s shoes if you were coming from their HQ or from their previous capture point and ask yourself the following questions :
- From which direction did you come?
- Where would your supply truck arrive from?
- What is the best place to build a garrison as soon as possible?
- Are there any features of the land that appear to be an appealing or strategic place to do so?
Once you’ve located the Enemy’s garrison it will be a great idea to tell your friends about so you can attack that garrison and secure each other’s back as you may find large numbers of enemies near the garrison to protect it , so it’s always better to surprise them by coming in a perfect timing and in a prepared way .
Once you’ve located an enemy it’s tempting to engage with them , but in the grand scheme of things it’s better not to do so .
A better idea would be to observe them , see their movements , see the direction they are coming from and by doing that you will be able to have an idea of a potential location of their Garrison .
Once you’ve located the Enemy’s garrison in HLL , the first step you need to do is to ping it in the map so you can have a clear idea of where it is and also inform your teammates of your enemy’s garrison location .
By doing that you’re making it easy for your teammates to destroy the enemy’s garrison even after you’re dead in the game .

It’s important to note that blue zone garrisons will ping when enemies are near within 50 meters and lock when enemies are near within 15 meters while red zone garys will get locked if any enemies are near within 100 meters .
So if you’re planning on building a red zone garrison try to place the garrison in an area where you think there will be little to no enemy presence , because a locked red zone garrison is a useless garrison .
When building multiple garrisons they must be constructed 200 meters or one map square apart from each other , a good place to build garrisons at the very start of the match is right on the edge of the blue and neutral territory , you can think of these as launch garrisons because it allows the entire team to quickly dump into the active sector .
Try not to place defensive garrisons directly inside the circle as this is the most predictable spot and the enemy commander can easily clear it with a bombing run , instead it’s best to have multiple garrisons around the strong point which allows your defensive players to have multiple angles of approach and can even alert you of enemy presence .
