One of the most important resources in Conan Exiles is hardened steel.
Hardened steel is used for crafting an enormous array of items in the game. Very similar to glass and ichor ,it is not always easy to find Hardened Steel.
It is made from materials like black ice and regular steel.
In order to make hardened steel in Conan Exiles, you will need these four resources :
- The cauldron
- Furnace
- Fluid Press
- Tannery
Once you have all four of them , you can begin crafting.
Hardened Steel is a very valuable item that is used to craft weapons and armor.
Here are the steps you need to follow in order to craft hardened steel bar in conan exiles :
Gather Ironstone To Make Iron Bars
Ironstone is a valuable resource that is mainly used as an ingredient to craft items like iron bars , rocknose and iron ore .
Some of the blest places to find ironstone in conan exile are :
- River watch camp
- The wild desert
- Skulker’s End Near the river
You’ll need to gather good amounts of ironstone in order to make a valuable amount of hardened steel as it requires a good amount of ironstone to make an iron bar .
Craft Steelfire
Steelfire can be crafted by combining tar and brimstone , it normally requires 2 tar and 1 brimstone to get 1 steelfire .
Steelfire can be used in a lot of recipes such as :
- Steel bar
- Dragon powder
- Steel reinforcement
Tar can be farmed in conan exiles by two ways :
- Put coal into the fluid press .
- Gathering leather from harvesting creatures in the wild and rushing back to the tannery so you can make Tar .
It normally requires one item to produce tar , however in some cases it’l require up to 3 .
After gatherthering a good amount of tar and brimstone it’s time to take them to the firebowl cauldron .
These two minerals are combined in a Cauldron or Furnace to produce Steelfire.
Make The Steel Bars
By putting the gathered iron bars and steelfire into the turned on furnace you will be able to make a good amount of steel bars that is ready to be used .
Steel Bars are the basic building material in Conan Exiles as they play a vital role in the game.
Steel bars are mainly used to craft things like weapons, tools and armors . However , they are especially useful when used in weapon-crafting.
By using steel bars , you can upgrade your character’s stats , achieve more and become a great player and feared opponent in the Exiled Lands with no doubt.
Get Black Ice
Blackice can be found in the cold areas of the map in conan exiles which means you’ll need to wear your cold weather armor to protect yourself from the cold .
You’ll also need a thrall to harvest a good amount of it so you can match your requirements .
Add Black Ice To Steel bars
Now that you have gathered the required ingredients , it’s time to go back to your inventory .
Once in your inventory you’ll need to go ahead to your furnace and put steel bars and black ice .
Then , you’ll need to start the crafting and you’ll notice that you have begun to get the hardened steel .
This will result in a much stronger material than the standard Steel Bar. Hardened Steel is also lighter, making it ideal for crafting strong fortifications and builds.
In Conan Exiles, you can craft hardened steel by heating up a steel bar with black ice on a furnace for 15 seconds.
